The Giro is coming to town

Bergamo is welcoming 15th Giro d'Italia stage on the 21st of May. The town traditionally offers a great cycling environment and it's often home to top level cycling events. Giro d'Italia is a great occasion to discover Italy and the amazing places that seem to be created for us cyclists. Bergamo is among top spots in our country and we can well say it's one the places where cycling was born. The presence of some of the most famous bike manufacturers testify of this connection between Bergamo and cycling.

Aside the amazing rides that will make our guests discover this region, we offer some very interesting side events, like a Canyon test session and - very important - the inauguration of our brand new branch in Bergamo.

Program

DAY 1 - 19 MAY: RECON OF THE GIRO STAGE
On Friday two days to the stage: time to try the racetrack! In the program we have 3 of the most spectacular climbs in the area. First one is the mighty and punchy Roncola, 6.4 km at 8.5%. Back to Bergamo and heading to Nembro where we will take on the Selvino climb: 19 hairpins up to the top, a road that twists up like a snake. Only five kilometer on a descent before the second steep leg to Miragolo. Last come Bergamo Alta over the infamous Boccola, the last climb of monument classic Giro di Lombardia.

DAY 2 - 20 MAY: RIDE THE BERGAMO CLASSIC
Today it is gonna be the climbers’ festival! Off we go up the Sant’Antonio climb, one of the toughest climb in the region: even its name - Sant’Antonio Abbandonato - is daunting. But none will get abandoned on his way to the top of hill. Riding back to Bergamo we will take on some steep and short killer climbs: Fontana, Astino and San Vigilio. We’ll pay homage to the medieval heart of the town riding over the cobbles!

DAY 2 - 20 MAY CANYON TEST RIDE & BIKE CENTER INAUGURATION 🥳🥳🥳
At the end of ride we will go to party to our brand-new Bike Center in Bergamo where we will find dream bike, beers and snacks. You’ll have a chance to test one of our bikes.

DAY 3 - 21 MAY - LET’S WATCH THE GIRO FROM THE SIDELINES
The day is dedicated to Giro and we’ve designed an itinerary that will make us see the riders many times from the roadside. We will be leaving Bergamo going west to take the HC climb of Valcava, 12km but the last 4km are absurdly steep with a double digit gradient slope. That’s a good place to watch the riders: for sure they won’t be fling here! Once the race has gone we ride back to town to watch the riders facing the cobblestones up the Boccola. It is gonna be a hell of a show in the middle of crazy “tifosi”. But that’s not all: we move away and go see the finish line!

MAGLIA ROSA //  PINK JERSEY

The Maglia Rosa is the prize for the Giro d'Italia leader. With our Maglia Rosa you earn the all-inclusive package: all you have to do is show up and pedal, we take care of the rest!

By accepting the Maglia Rosa you need to know that all of your aims will be riding one of our bikes. The premium package: you don’t get the pink jersey but you just have to jump onthe bike and spin your legs, while we take care of the rest.

This deluxe package includes all services: 4 nights accomodation in 3 stars hotel, transfer to/from Airport/Hotel, 4 days bike rental, warm up ride on thursday afternoon, 3 guided stages, 2 lunches during the friday ans saturday stages, one test ride with new bike, inauguration party at our brand new Bergamo HQ.

MAGLIA AZZURRA // BLUE JERSEY

The blue jersey is the KOM jersey: one of the most coveted jerseys of the Giro. At least for those who like to attack on every single climb!

The Maglia Blue package is for those who want to take care of their stay and (possibly) travel with their personal bicycle. The package includes: The warm up on Thursday, 3 guided rides, 2 lunches on Friday and Saturday, a test ride and of course entry to the ICT North opening party at our brand new bike centre in Bergamo.

There are many reasons to cycle here, which is why we have a place in Lombardy, and in the perfect city for cycling: Bergamo. Our aim is to introduce you to secret roads, the best climbs, and the best little old towns during your stay in Lombardy. Bergamo is no different with its flamboyant lifestyle off the bike: bars, restaurants, wine bars and pizzerias.

Bergamo is quite a special place in a highly industrial region. Despite being home to some of the most important engineering, mechanical and even heavy industry, it could preserve a warm and welcoming atmosphere and a contact with its countryside and mountains all around. The distance with the largest and by far richest and frenzy town in Italy - Milan - is minimal and Bergamo is the close hand destination for many road cyclists, mountain bikers or outdoor lovers living in town and in search of lovely mountain routes on quiet roads
