Ride with us on the roads of the 13th stage and watch the challenge among the strongest climbers of the Giro. Book the experience and our guides will take you on the route of this mountain stage to enjoy the fight for the pink jersey. The Gran Saint Bernard mountain pass will be the Cima Coppi of the 2023 edition: the tallest mountain climbed in the whole Giro. The route of this stage, for a total of 207km, has a classic alpine configuration: a flat approach, followed by a series of very long climbs: with its 2473 m of altitude, the Gran Saint Bernard pass is the highest point reached by the cyclists during the Giro d’Italia.

Our staff will guide you to ride one of the highest climbs in the alps. You will discover the Italian side of the pass. With its 1878 meters of ascent in 34 kilometers, it’s for sure one of the more spectacular climbs you have ever experienced. From Cuchepache, we will warm up riding down to Aosta, to face then the climb in its total length, enjoying the alpine environment of this lovely valley. Especially in the last 14 km a fabulous landscape reveals itself. Most likely in May, in the last kilometers, we will find ourselves passing along walls of snow, identifying with the champions of the past and thinking about their exploits. The effort to reach the hospice on the top will be considerable, but it will be worth it.

SAINT-RHÉMY EN BOSSES // AOSTA VALLEY
Saint-Rhémy is a touristic alpine village surrounded by the mountains, famous for one of the most prized Aosta Valley charcuterie products: Jambon de Bosses. It is a cured ham, produced ever since the 1300s in this small village. It’s on the SS27, the road leading to the Gran San Bernard Pass, a legendary Col where many pages of the Giro d’Italia and the Tour de France have been written. Saint-Rhémy is easily accessible by car from most of Europe: we are located at one of the most important historical routes through the Alps. Turin is only 130 km far and Milan is 170 km.
Traveling on the A5 highway, take the Aosta Est exit and follow the signs to the Gran San Bernard Tunnel. You can also approach the valley from the French and Swiss sides through the Mont Blanc and Grand Saint Bernard Tunnels, taking the main SS 26 and 27 roads, respectively or during the summer (between June and October) over the Piccolo and Grand Saint Bernard passes. The nearest airports are: Milano Malpensa or Linate, Torino Caselle and Geneva (Switzerland).
