Surprising stretch of coastline shaped by fire, the coastline close to Mount Etna volcano offers extraordinary views where nature blends spectacularly with archaeological and architectural treasures, evidence of the area's rich history. Its unparalleled symbol is, of course, Taormina, nestled on a natural terrace 200 m above sea level: a rare combination of history, sea and nature. North of Taormina, Letojanni is a renowned coastal resort. The town overlooks the gulf and enjoys a mild climate year-round and abundant sunshine that warms the beaches and makes the waters of the Ionian Sea sparkle. The beaches are a mix of fine sand and small pebbles and extend all the way to Taormina.

Thanks to the variety of the Sicilian cycling environment, it is possible to travel to Sicily as often as you like and have a completely different experience each time.

LET'S BEGIN WITH YOUR FIRST ONE!

Postcards from Letojanni

Cycle the volcano

Seven climbs, one unforgettable scenery

Do you fancy a bike ride to the highest active volcano in europe?
You can challenge the Etna from the Southern slope choosing between five climbs (Zafferana, Nicolosi, Pedara, Ragalna or Biancavilla) or choosing between the two climbs on the Northern slope (Linguaglossa or Fornazzo).

A ride you can't refuse!

Savoca, the village of the movie "The Godfather", filmed by Francis Ford Coppola

Riding in Sicily makes you discover lots of special places, like the lovely village of Savoca. Good for Francis Ford Coppola, is good for us too. So let's have a cappuccino break at this picturesque location from the Godfather movie. The Vitelli bar has remained unchanged since the seventies.

Cycle among the vineyards

A quiet ride with the Etna in the background

A relaxing ride through the vineyards of Mount Etna, the walls of lava stones, and the terraces where the grapes are cultivated before becoming a delicious Etna Wine.

What they tell about us

  • Bike is most important thing when you are going to CYCLING vacation. You don't want to ruin your vacation, especially when planning 6 month in advance. Simone is very flexible shop keeper and sacrificed his weekend to let me ride one day earlier! He pre-fitted bike and I did not have to adjust anything. Gear was perfectly indexed and and chosen equipment perfectly survived on hmm, non-ideal road surface. Simone gave me plenty spares, suggested routes and kept in touch while I was in Sicily. Thank you for the great vacation and I finally conquered Etna slopes!
  • I had a great experience renting a Canyon road bike from Simone at Italy Cycling Sicily. I rode up Mount Etna which has been on my bucket list for a few years - an amazing if challenging experience. Simone was a brilliant help, proving routes and tips, even suggesting water refill points, plus the bike was a really decent road bike in excellent condition. I couldn’t have asked for more.
  • Great service, great bike and exceptional support for the rides. Special thanks to Simone for routes suggestions and "local tips". Since they are delivering the bikes all around Taormina area, I highly recommend their services.
  • Hired a brilliant Canyon road bike from Simone. Service was perfect. Bike took me on some awesome adventures around, up and down Mount Etna. Simone took the time to create and share several amazing routes with me. Next time I return to the area I’ll definitely rent from Simone again.
  • Simone was the BEST. He gave us perfect routes to ride. And easily linked them to our phones. So riding through the countryside proved easy. We especially loved “Godfather’s Loop” up to Roccaforita. You must try it. The Canyon bikes were in great condition. He was available at all times to answer our questions. We stayed in Taormina and his shop was only 7 K away, easy to get to. Look no further, this is the place and Simone is your guy.
