Surprising stretch of coastline shaped by fire, the coastline close to Mount Etna volcano offers extraordinary views where nature blends spectacularly with archaeological and architectural treasures, evidence of the area's rich history. Its unparalleled symbol is, of course, Taormina, nestled on a natural terrace 200 m above sea level: a rare combination of history, sea and nature. North of Taormina, Letojanni is a renowned coastal resort. The town overlooks the gulf and enjoys a mild climate year-round and abundant sunshine that warms the beaches and makes the waters of the Ionian Sea sparkle. The beaches are a mix of fine sand and small pebbles and extend all the way to Taormina.
Thanks to the variety of the Sicilian cycling environment, it is possible to travel to Sicily as often as you like and have a completely different experience each time.

Cycle the volcano
Do you fancy a bike ride to the highest active volcano in europe?
You can challenge the Etna from the Southern slope choosing between five climbs (Zafferana, Nicolosi, Pedara, Ragalna or Biancavilla) or choosing between the two climbs on the Northern slope (Linguaglossa or Fornazzo).
A ride you can't refuse!
Riding in Sicily makes you discover lots of special places, like the lovely village of Savoca. Good for Francis Ford Coppola, is good for us too. So let's have a cappuccino break at this picturesque location from the Godfather movie. The Vitelli bar has remained unchanged since the seventies.
Cycle among the vineyards
A relaxing ride through the vineyards of Mount Etna, the walls of lava stones, and the terraces where the grapes are cultivated before becoming a delicious Etna Wine.

Rented a bike on Sept 20, 2024 for 1 day ride with Simone. Awesome experience! Bike was in top shape (no dropped chain, gears all worked) clean and ready to go. Small seat adjustment for sizing. Simone is a great guide warning of all road hazards along the route and when to slow down on descents. Weather co-operated as well so it was a great day out on the bike. Thanks Simone!

I fully echo all of the comments in the other great reviews. It’s very unusual to find so much consistency, but it’s completely justified. Simone provided me with an excellent Canyon bike (he has some Scott models as well) of high spec and well-maintained, together with great communication throughout. As an added bonus, he gave me some great route recommendations with all of the GPS details. That’s was really valuable because in this part of the world if you use Google Maps to give you bike routes you may find your road turning into a rocky track fit only for a full suspension mountain bike! Thank you Simone and if I come this way again I will not hesitate to rent from you.

Great place to rent a quality Canyon road bike made for climbing (certainly need it). Simone was very helpful right from the communication in relation to hire, providing some great GPX routes, including a challenging Etna climb 💪. Simone was also very friendly throughout the three days hire and even collected the bike from me. Highly recommended 😁
